Planning a magical Disney vacation just got even sweeter! Starting in 2026, Walt Disney World is offering free dining plans for kids (ages 3–9) with the purchase of an adult dining plan when you book a Disney Resort hotel package. It’s a fantastic way to save while enjoying all the delicious eats the parks have to offer. But with two dining plan options available, how do you choose the one that’s right for your family? Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick breakdown to help you decide which plan fits your family's style and budget best!
🍽️ Which Disney Dining Plan is Right for Your Family?
Whether you're all about quick bites between rides or you're looking to sit down and savor the full Disney dining experience. Disney offers two Dining Plan options, both packed with flexibility and value. They are:
🍔 Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan
Perfect for families who are always on the go and don’t want to be tied down to dining reservations. Think grab-and-go meals, casual counters, and minimal fuss.
What’s Included:
2 Quick-Service meals per night of stay
1 Snack or Nonalcoholic Drink per night of stay
1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug per person
Quick-Service meals are served at counter-service locations—order at the register, (or use mobile ordering!) find your seat, and enjoy. Ideal for younger kids who don’t want to sit still for too long!
🍽️ Disney Dining Plan
Want to mix it up with a few sit-down meals, character breakfasts, or a date-night dinner? This plan adds a Table-Service option each day, giving you access to Disney’s full-service restaurants and fan-favorite dining experiences.
What’s Included:
1 Quick-Service meal per night of stay
1 Table-Service meal per night of stay
1 Snack or Nonalcoholic Drink per night of stay
1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug per person
This plan gives your family the flexibility to enjoy casual meals and reserve time for more immersive dining—like princess meet-and-greets or dining at themed restaurants. Just remember: reservations are highly recommended for Table-Service spots!
🍹 A Few Extra Tips
Adults 21+ can enjoy beer, wine, or cocktails with their meals where available.
Fine/Signature Dining, Dinner Shows, or select Character Dining require two Table-Service credits per person.
Kids ages 3–9 must order from children’s menus (when available).
The plan must be booked for the entire length of stay and for everyone in your travel party ages 3 and up.
🎟️ So, Which Plan Should You Choose?
Ask yourself:
Are you a family who eats on the move and just needs quick bites? Go with the Quick-Service Dining Plan.
Want to slow down for a few memorable meals? The Disney Dining Plan gives you the best of both worlds.
And remember: with the new 2026 Free Kids’ Dining offer, choosing a plan just became even more rewarding.
